Kim Klein is  the owner of the Poison Apple Salon and Spa, and one of our renowned Master Stylists. She formerly owned the “Poison Apple Salon” in Gridley. Kim's extensive knowledge of hair care—ranging from style, to product, to color—has provided her long-term and loyal clients with healthy and manageable hair for over thirteen years. Her constant research of new trends in technique, color and products has helped the Poison Apple Salon & Spa establish itself as a premier salon and spa in Chico. Kim serves as a role model for up and coming stylists in the salon holding education classes in her spare time.  Kim's favorite thing about her job is the companionship she has with the "Poison Apple Girls" and her clients. Kim enjoys laughing with her family.

While traveling nationwide as a Rusk Master Designer, Emily brings the latest in hair fashion back to the Poison Apple Salon & Spa.  Specializing in advanced cutting & coloring.  Emily is originally from Chico and has been working as a hairstylist for nine years now.  For the last five years she has been working and traveling with Rusk.

Kelly has been a stylist for over five years now.  Kelly has built a client base that is second  to none. Her clients rave about their great haircuts, their vibrant color and Kelly’s uncanny ability to interpret their specialized needs. Her client base derives mainly from referrals, which demonstrates that she provides what her clients want. Kelly has the knowledge and skill to perform a vast range of color formulations, the latest trends, chemical treatments, and human hair extensions.  Kelly has a very warm personality and around the salon the girls often refer to her as Edward Scissorhands.

A master stylist specializing in coloring & haircuts has worked at the Poison Apple Salon & Spa since the doors first opened.  Certified TRESSA color educator, she regularly attends advanced color training.  Her upbeat personality, experience & know-how will make for a positive salon experience.  Originally from Stockton, CA she moved to Chico eight years ago.  Alisen thinks the best part about working at the Poison Apple Salon & Spa is being able to work with her friends everyday.

Kristin, a native of Tupelo, Mississippi is new to Chico and the Poison Apple Salon & Spa.  She recently relocated to Chico from Santa Cruz, where she had built a strong clientele and managed an Aveda Concept Salon.  Kristin has been a stylist for eight years and received her training from The Aveda Institute in Covington, La.  She has also done extensive training at the Vidal Sassoon Academy in Santa Monica, CA.  Kristin's passion for the beauty industry and her commitment to her clients shows with her abilities and talents.  Kristin thrives on giving her clients the best experience possible.  Kristin loves to pamper her clients with scalp and hand massages which are included with your service.  Kristin's southern charm and talents are sure to make your visit to the Poison Apple Salon & Spa unforgettable.

Janessa, a native of Paradise, CA, came to the Poison Apple Salon & Spa as an Associate, and worked meticulously under the supervision of Master Stylist, Kim Klein, to perfect her skills. She is now a Senior Stylist at the Poison Apple and is busy growing her list of happy clients. She is the perfect choice for someone who is looking for "Master" skills at a Senior Stylist price. Janessa believes that the over all color, shape, and condition of one's hair is essential to supporting the client in feeling their best. Her warm girl next door smile doesn't hurt either.

Jennifer Dickey (Jenn) is the newest addition to our Poison Apple Salon & Spa Team.  Jenn has been a stylist for four years.  She is very well rounded and keeps everyone laughing.  Her favorite thing about her career is getting to meet new people & sending them away looking their best.  She specializes in Color, Highlites, a New Hair Trends that bring convenience to the client.  Jenn attends various education classes, because she feels that learning can only make you excel.  Come in and book an appointment with her today.

Mindy is one of two estheticians at the Poison Apple Salon & Spa.  She is experienced in waxing, facials, eylelash perming and professional make-up.  Her unique personality is one of a kind.  Being accomadating to her clientele is of upmost importance to her.  She believes that quality work is the key to satisfy and please your needs.  Stop by and see for yourself.

Kari was born and raised in Chico, CA.  She has been a nail technician for four plus years.  Kari continues to build  on her technical knowledge by taking Yaung Nails education classes periodically throughout the year.  Kari specializes in Gels, Acrylics, Gel Toes, and Nail Art.  Kari also practiced her talent at a spa in Reno, NV for a few years.  It can occasionally be difficult to schedule an appointment with Kari. We thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.  After 2 years working at the Poison Apple Salon & Spa it is becoming increasingly rare Kari to have an opening in her schedule.  Kari is also expecting her first baby this summer.  You are welcome to call in and be put on her waiting list.
